Original Recipe by Zita Alvarez Lo (Julia’s mom)
Julia Period 4
-spring roll wrappers
-1 lb. ground turkey
-3-4 cloves of garlic (minced)
-3 cups of your choice of minced vegetables:
-salt to taste
-pepper to taste
Step 1- Place frying pan on stove and heat pan for 1 minute under a
medium heat fire.
Step 2- Place grounded turkey on pan and cook until the turkey is a
Step 3- Remove turkey from pan and place on plate for later use.
Step 4- Put 1 tablespoon of oil on frying pan and sauté minced
garlic until brown in color.
Step 5- Place your choice of vegetables on pan and toss until
Step 6- Add turkey back into pan.
Step 7- Mix it all in with spatula.
Step 8- Add a bit of salt and pepper for taste.
Step 9- Turn stove off.
Step 10- Strain ingredients in strainer to remove excess liquids.
Step 11- Place small portions of the mix in spring roll wrappers.
Step 12- Roll wrappers into a roll.
Step 13- Turn on stove to medium heat and put 1 tablespoon of oil on
Step 14- Place rolled spring rolls on pan and fry until wrapper is
brown on both sides.
Step 15- Turn off stove, eat and enjoy!
